Norwegian Open 2014

We're back from Norwegian Open 2014 - it was even better than last year! First of all, noone fell from anything ;P, secondly, we stayed in a trailer and it was sooooo good to sleep in the proximity of the hall, have all the necessary things in one place instead of carrying them back and forth etc, thirdly there were all of our favourite judges (Alexander Beitl, Rolli Schiltz, Sascha Grunder, Gaby Steppan, Anders Virtanen and Kees Stoel all in one place! Sounds like agility heaven to me) and last but not least Roman and Evo won the whole thing :D. Flaszek and Brava also had their share of succeses - Flaszek got third leg towards A2 (he can and will run in A1 for a while though) and even got on the podium twice :) and Brava won three runs (agility open on Saturday, MA3 on Saturday, jumping open on Sunday), was second in one (jumping open on Saturday) and had two other fantastic runs (jumping 3 with one bar) and the final run with a small Disq ;). I actually liked the runs that didn't bring me the podium best :).

Wróciliśmy z Norwegian Open 2014 - było jeszcze lepiej niż w zeszłym roku :). Po pierwsze, nikt z niczego nie zleciał, po drugie jechaliśmy z przyczepą i było bosko nie musieć nosić wszystkiego w te i we wtawte i nie jeździć nocami gdzieś daleko tylko sobie spać pod halą, po trzecie byli tam wszyscy nasi ulubieni sędziowie (Alexander Beitl, Rolli Schiltz, Sascha Grunder, Anders Virtanen, Gaby Steppan i Kees Stoel wszyscy razem w jednym miejscu, normalnie agilitowe niebo) i wreszcie Roman z Evoczkiem wygrali finał :). Flaszek i Bravka też się świetnie spisali, Flaszeczek zrobił trzecią nóżkę do A2 (jeszcze chwilę pobiega w jedynkach) i dwa razy był na pudle, Brava wygrała trzy biegi (agility open i MA 3 w sobotę, jumping open w niedzielę), była druga w jednym (jumping open w sobotę) i miała jeszcze dwa cudowne biegi, które podobały mi się jeszcze bardziej (jumping 3 w sobotę z jedną zrzutką i finałowy bieg z malutkim disem ;). 

So, Flaszek's runs. In the first one, he is still a bit unsure plus he lost lots of time on the see-saw - still, this run brought him on 3rd place among 90-something LA1 dogs! We're so proud of him! The jumping from Sunday is his last run on the competition and you can see how much more confident he was - he is getting better and better and he begins to believe agility is the safe place, where you only have fun even though there are lots of people and dogs around :)

Biegi Flaszeczka - pierwszy i ostatni z tych zawodów. Na pierwszym widać, że jest jeszcze trochę niepewny, stracił też mnóstwo czasu na huśtawce, ale i tak ten bieg dał mu trzecie miejsce na 90-parę largowych jedynek! Pękamy z dumy. Jumping z niedzieli to jego ostatni bieg z tych zawodów i widać, o ile jest szybszy - jest coraz lepszy i przekonuje się, że w agility nie może się stać nic złego, nawet jeśli wokół jest pełno ludzi i psów :). 

These are my two favourites runs with Brava. I absolutely loved Alex's course (as I love most of his courses actually, I consider him one of the best agility judges in the world) and I'm pretty happy with how I handled it. I probably called her when she was over the bar, hence the dropped bar, but apart from that it was a great run on a challenging course :). 

Poniżej moje dwa ulubione biegi z Bravką. Bardzo podobał mi się tor Alexa (jak większość jego torów, moim zdaniem to jeden z najlepszych sędziów na świecie) i to, jak go poprowadziłam. Zdaje się, że zawołałam Bravę akurat nad hopką, stąd ta zrzutka, ale i tak był to fajny bieg na trudnym torze :). 

And the final run - Brava fell from the see-saw (I think her hind leg fell and she didn't manage to regain balance) and I instinctively asked her to jump back on the end of the see-saw, so we were eliminated. Otherwise, I really like the part after the dogwalk (lots of dogs had big turns there or were eliminated) and the turn after the tunnel was just perfect <3

I finał - Brava spadła z huśtawki (wydaje mi się, że spadła jej tylna łapa i już nie zdołała odzyskać równowagi) i instynktownie poprosiłam, żeby naskoczyła z powrotem na końcówkę, za co dostałyśmy disa. Ale naprawdę podoba mi się kawałek po kładce (dużo psów miało tam łuki albo disy) i zakręt po tunelu był perfekcyjny <3

And Roman's final run :) Evo was really great on this competition - seems like he is getting his speed back after the minor injury this summer, most of his contacts were really perfect and he had really nice, controlled runs throughout the weekend. He was on the podium quite a lot: 3rd place in jumping open, 2nd place jumping 3, 2nd place agility open on Saturday, 5th place in tunnel cup on Sunday and finally the best in medium final :)

Finałowy bieg Evoka - ogólnie Evo był super w ten weekend. Po swojej małej kontuzji tego lata wreszcie wraca do swojej prędkości, miał ogólnie rzecz biorąc naprawdę ładne strefy przez cały weekend i bardzo takie ogarnięte, spokojne biegi. Na podium też często się pokazywał: 3 miejsce w jumpingu open, 2 w jumpingu 3, 2 miejsce w agility open w sobotę, 5. miejsce w Tunnel Cup w niedzielę no i wreszcie wygrany finał :)

And there was a lovely and quite moving surprise for the winners - thanks Sissel Grønlund for a live performance of Polish national anthem! That was a moment to remember!

Na koniec była wspaniała i wzruszająca niespodzianka - wielkie podziękowania dla Sissel Grønlund, która zagrała na żywo polski hymn dla zwycięzcy! To było coś, co zapamiętamy na zawsze!
