Second AWC quali - Sopot

Second AWC quali is behind us. Again, it was very far away from our place, at the seaside and it started sort of funny. First of all, Brava is in heat, which complicated things a bit, as we have 4 boys at home and 3 of them are not neutered. So she had to stay with our friend Robert for a couple of days, then at the hotel with our other friends Michał, Sławek and Beata - thank you all for taking care of her! Secondly, while we were on the way, we got the message that the plane in which the judge was suppose to come, is out of order (fortunately it was still on the ground). Luckily, Alex Beitl was able to find other connections and the qualis only started a bit later. Thirdly, when we arrived at our hotel, it turned out it was really close to the church, in the parish actually, and we couldn't get it, because the owner, that is the priest, was just conducting a mass. We went for a nice pizza and then got into the hotel finally, which was pretty nice. 

Even though the beginning was a bit funny, next day was nearly perfect: Brava won all three runs, Evo was second in agility and unfortunately an elimination in jumping. Then it was our Flaszek turn to run in zero class and he was marvellous: he had a refusal in the first jumping run, but then had three clean runs (and two agility runs among them) and even got on the podium (1st and 2nd for agility runs and 1st for agility and jumping combined). In the evening we went to a restaurant at the seaside :).Then the next day started with Brava winning jumping, thus sealing her huge advantage in points for both team and individual and then Evo won the agility run - so even though our qualis are not over yet, we have fullfilled all the criteria for qualifying already and with huge advantage in points to that :). Perfect Flaszek had another two clean runs and won another 1st place in agility plus jumping combined - the greatest thing was that even though running outside is much more difficult for him than running in the hall because there are more distractions, he was quite happy in the startline and even played with a ball afterwards. We hope he will get even more confidence and start running as fast as he does at home - but nevertheless he has already exceeded our expectations. After the competition we went for a beach to let the dogs have some fun in the water and in the evening we went for a little sightseeing in beautiful Gdańsk. All in all, really perfect  weekend (great place, super atmosphere and organization, fantastic judge, challenging courses) with nearly perfect results :).

Drugie kwalifikacje za nami. Znowu były okropnie daleko, tym razem nad morzem, na dodatek trochę mieliśmy dodatkowych atrakcji. Po pierwsze, Brava w końcu dostała cieczki, co trochę skomplikowało sprawy, bo mamy w domu cztery samce, z czego trzy jajeczne (no dobra, w przypadku Pińdziusia określenie samiec jest nieco na wyrost, ale jednak). Tak wiec Brava musiała parę dni pomieszkać z naszym przyjacielem Robertem, a potem w hotelu z Michałem, Sławkiem i Beatą - wielkie dzieki za pomoc i opiekę nad Pisią Gągolinką ;). Po drugie, w drodze na zawody dostaliśmy wiadomość, że popsuł się samolot, którym miał przylecieć sędzia (na szczęście na ziemi się popsuł). Zrobiło się małe zamieszanie, na szczęście Alex Beitl znalazł inne połączenia, tylko że zawody zaczęły się w sobotę trochę później. Po trzecie okazało się, że zarezerwowałam nocleg w kościele ;) i jak przyjechaliśmy, to nikt nas nie wpuścił, bo właściciel hotelu, czyli proboszcz, właśnie odprawiał mszę. Ale spoko, poszliśmy na pizzę, a pokój, jak już się do niego dostaliśmy, okazał się całkiem spoko. 

Mimo takich początków, następny dzień okazało się prawie idealny: Brava wygrała wszystkie swoje trzy biegi, Evo zaliczył kolejne czyste agility (2 miejsce) i niestety disa w jumpingu, a Flaszek przeszedł nasze najśmielsze oczekiwania i nie tylko ukończył wszystkie swoje biegi tego dnia, ale jeszcze trzy z nich bezbłędnie, co dało mu furę nagród i pierwsze miejsce w łącznej za agility plus jumping zero. Ukoronowaniem wieczoru był wieczór w knajpie na plaży w miłym towarzystwie :). Następnego dnia Brava wygrała jumping, a Evo agility, co obojgu dało ogromną przewagę punktową nad pozostałymi zawodnikami w medium - wprawdzie kwalifikacje jeszcze trwają, ale oboje mają już spełnione wszystkie warunki do kwalifikacji indywidualnej i drużynowej. Mistrzunio Flaszunio ukończył kolejne dwa biegi na czysto i wygrał kolejną łączną :). Najbardziej nas cieszy, że chociaż bieganie na dworze jest dla niego trudniejsze niż na hali, bo jest więcej nieoczekiwanych rozproszeń, to jednak chłopak dawał radę, z każdym biegiem coraz weselej szedł na start i nawet bawił się piłką po biegu :). Mamy nadzieję, że jego pewność siebie jeszcze wzrośnie i będzie dawał czadu :). Po zawodach poszliśmy na plażę, żeby psiaki się wyszalały, a wieczorem pozwiedzaliśmy piękną gdańską starówkę - w sumie naprawdę idealny wyjazd z prawie idealnymi wynikami na dokładkę :). Super miejsce, świetna obsługa i atmosfera, rewelacyjny sędzia, ciekawe tory - czegóż chcieć więcej.
